Dance Terms
To get started, you might want to know what these terms mean:
Private Lesson: This is a private coaching session where an individual or a couple receives guidance from a dance instructor to learn the basics, learn new figures, or dig into the technique of partner dancing. These are scheduled by appointment to fit your agenda, and customized to your personal needs, goals and desires.
Group Class: This is a group setting where individuals & couples show up to be taught by 1 dance instructor to learn a new dance, new figures in their favorite dance, or to improve upon steps they have learned previously. These are offered nightly with pre-set material.
Closed Group: This is a combination of a Private Lesson and a Group Class where 3 or more participants are taught customized material based on their unique goals and desires. These are reserved and discussed upon in advance.
BYOB Practice Party: This is a social event where the lights are turned down, students bring guests, snack & beverage of their choice to dance the night away, or to get additional assistance from our instructors in a comfortable and inviting setting.
Dance Night Out: This is a social event where the instructors take the students out dancing! We are here to help you learn about the places you can use what you have been learning, as well as continue to be your training wheels while you gain confidence out in public!
FFB BFF: This is what we call our students who become a member of our family!
